1.2 Installation ¶

The following section describes how to install ANVL into the system.

System dependencies:

• Erlang/OTP, a runtime used by ANVL.
• Git version control system, for dowloading external plugins from Git repos.
• GNU Info, for displaying help.
• GNU TexInfo, for building documentation.

The recommended way to install ANVL is to build it from source. Download the source code and run ./bootstrap.escript script in the source root. It will bootstrap ANVL and install it locally for the user.

Since ANVL doesn’t have any external dependencies except those listed above, the whole procedure is quick and usually takes around 10 seconds.
